Defense of Harmony

It started when TU informed us about an enemy fleet moving towards Harmony. This was seemingly identical to the one that previsouly managed to take Typhon away from our control.

The battle started in space relatively far from the planet. We essentially had the entire AHA fleet there. They still managed to rush towards the atmosphere and deployed ground troops before we could properly react. The ground troups would start attacking Halcyon with orbital fire backing them up. I was piloting the Infiltrator and comms were severly jammed. Our ground forces, lead by TU, we quickly outnumbered and were forced to retreat, being cut off in the process. I dropped with Scorch near their location along with additional reinforcements. I dropped in a SWAG Northstar for TU as he was already wounded.

Using the fold weapon, the General was able to slowly take over the battle in space. With the reinforcments, the 2nd's ground forces were also start to push back the enemy. However, the 4th was fighting at a different location on the ground and they were surrounded. Commander Rooster was injured severly and called for reinforcements. Fish, TU and I started moving towards the location. TU was cut off and was forced to self-destruct with a nuke. Kerminator came down and was able to retrieve TU's chip. We then decided to split up. Kerm would bring TU's chip to the flagship of the second (Midas) while Fish and I reinforce the Commander.

Arriving on the scene, it was a horrible scene. The entire 4th battalion was nothing more but a distorted pile of corpses. Somewhere in the middle of this scene, we found the dying commander still in his suit. Having lost Fish on the way, I was on my own. With no other option, I used Scorch to drag him onto the Midas where we were able to crack open his heavily armored suit and get him out. We brought him to a cryo-chamber and all medics were assigned to him.

At the same time, Fish was bleeding out in the middle of the now mostly empty battlefield. Mango dropped in to save him and defeat the remaining stray enemies.

While we were able to save Rooster, he would never be the same. He could not handle being one of the sole survivors of the battalion he lead. He could not handle so many dying under his command. This is the true start of his mental insanity that ultimately leads to his death.
