Unspringed Trap

A report comes in from Mirai to Vice Admiral Kerm Good day sir, I am pleased to say the operation went well. We landed on the badlands moon that housed the abandoned EAD facility via the use of my assigned Goblin type dropship ( Specifications and further read attached to this report ). We encountered no hostiles near the LZ and proceeded towards our area of operations. We failed to detect any friendly signals including IFF on our way to the facility and after we entered. Having done so we saw no immediate threats. We continued on and found the corpse of one of the lost 2nd soldiers ( ID attached to this report ). Not soon after we found the body hostile fire was directed towards us, and soon the source of it was defeated. Some form of robotic infantry managed to flank us from behind but was swiftly defeated at the hands of Jake "Locksmith" Cliffer ( ID and full operations personel roster attached to this report ). That however, was not the last of them. Of note is the fact that these hostiles we encountered seem to have the ability of cloaking. One of the hostile's rounds found their mark on RFLM. Cassie "Newt" Pines's shoulder ( medical log of injury attached to this report ), although it proved to be non-fatal and not a major injury. Cassie "Newt" Pines managed to not only provide herself with correct First Aid but also continue with no setbacks, even managing to 'kill' the hostile robotic unit. As we continued further into the facility in search of survivors, intel, or bodies, we came across a grouping of hostile sims around bodies of the remaining lost personel. As noticed by Jake "Locksmith" Cliffer. Rifleman Glitch managed to take one down unnoticed by the others. A bar of soap was thrown by Corporal Antom which seemed to successfully distract the remanding sims. Meanwhile one particular simulacrum attacked Sergeant Ash "Ladybug" Kaison, but it was taken down by Rifleman Glitch before it could the Sergeant. At this point the rest of the simulacras have noticed us. A swift combination of our forces however neutralises the threats. Proceeding this, Jake "Locksmith" Cliffer collects the dogtags of the fallen. As we reconvene we get interrupted by a cloaked pilot who lungs at me and holds a knife to my throat. The assailant seemed to be surprised as they didn't expect our forces, instead, an 'easy job' ( helmet camera footage is attached to this report ). Worth noting is that the assailant mentioned a "IMN". They soon however become neutralised at the hands of Corporal Jake "Locksmith" Cliffer, with Sergeant Ash "Ladybug" Kaison not being far away from doing so themselves. I managed to recover the knife of the assailant, it has been logged as evidence ( ID is attached to report ). In the end we managed to recover the bodies and dogtags of all missing personnel and collected data on the potential attackers with no casualties. Personally sir, i would like to recommend Cassie "Newt" Pines and Jack "Locksmith" Cliffer for a promotion, for their effectiveness during this mission
