This report is a continuation of report #515001 which detailed the tragic death of sergeant V.V, these events occured very shortly after that his death. After I returned to base, I began to plan a counterattack on V.V’s assailants with Lieutenant Ares (who was visiting to deliver his new weapon prototypes to Sokenzan). A sniper glint was spotted around 200m away and i ordered all present to duck, a shot wasnt taken however and the assasin began to retreat upon being spotted. I ordered Lieutenant Ares to pursue him as I was recovering from my prior injuries (see previous report) and, after a long chase involving the use of pilot tacticals and multiple instances of melee engagements, the assasin reached a snall base. I ordered Ares to stand down as I ordered an orbital strike from the 2nd’s fleet, neutralising most of the the targets at the base and all but leveling it. Ares searched what remained of the base and located Whitt, alive. He was finally captured and taken to be interrogated where we learnt that he (along with the others) was a mercenary sent to gather intel on the 2nd and AHA as a whole (we also learnt his name). Ares uploaded some data from Whitt’s chassis and met heavy resistance from security measures and protocols. Since, Whitt has remained in containment and I personally hunted a squad of 5 survivors who were armed with Titans. I accomplished this using my own titans, knowledge of the terrain and aerial support from the fleet. I took the data core from a ronin and our analysts are busy decoding the intel to find the location of the mercenaries and tbeir employers We’re only halfway to avenging Sergeant V.V in my book, I hope we can do you proud buddy.
