During the blockade of Cibus a section of Battlegroup Mandare was approached by a group of ships identifying as friendlies. Once within range the friendlies fired on the blockade section forcing them to fall back towards the main battlegroup creating an opening in the blockade. In the time it took for the battlegroup to reorganize and identify the aggressors several ships breached the blockade and made it to nearby planets where shortly after reports of an unknown virus spreading throughout the population were reported in SOS signals. The attackers then retreated once engaged by the significantly larger battlegroup. The Coyote System is compromised and now poses a threat to our mining and refining facilities in the nearby Yuma system. Reinforcements from the 2nd and 4th battalions are being dispatched, a full quarantine of the Coyote System is in effect. This contagion cannot be allowed to spread further.
