On the XX/XX/XXXX, Lt Gen TU broke containment. Cpl Cami, LCpl Mirai, and I were discussing the incident in our squad's common room when we received a series of cryptic transmissions from Cpl Gumbo. Worried about his safety, we asked him to drop by the 3rd's. As it turns out, Gumbo seemed to be possessed by some kind of entity, "the collective" that had "assimilated" him. Seeing that our friend had been attacked by this entity, we ordered the entity to stand down and return the real Gumbo. It didn't work, and a fight broke out between the entity and the three of us, as well as LCpl Raven, who had just entered the room. Cami used an arc grenade, while I radioed the rest of the AHA for help. Unfortunately, due to the incident with TU, few people were able to help. Cami was thrown into a wall, I tackled the entity and was slammes inti the ground, and we were overall losing the fight. Ares attempted to use his titan, but due to the location of the fight, he wasn't very effective. RFLM Ice of the 4th also entered the fight. At this point, I remembered that Mirai owns an EPG and went to get that. This was my first time shooting an EPG and I unfortunately missed, destroying part of the ceiling, as "Gumbo" was being stabbed by Cami and tackled by Raven. "Gumbo" then threw the both of them away and Ice opened fire again. We then attempted to stop the fight peacefully, but the entity threw Cami's knife towards Mirai. The knife was blocked by Cami, and I fired the EPG again, hitting Gumbo as he charged at me and blasting him back, while Ice resumed firing. Raven and Ice then attacked gumbo in melee, with kicks and stabs respectively. That's when “Gumbo” somehow pulled out a 50 cal and opened fire. I dived towards the ground, with Mirai and Cami as Cami deployed a particle shield. Raven was shooting gumbo from the other side of the room, and Ice was still stabbing him with his knife. I handed the EPG to Cami, as she is a better shot than I am. Gumbo then threw Ice at us, and I dragged him to cover behind the particle wall , while Cami fired several shots, all missing. We then handed the EPG to Mirai, who actually knew how to shoot the weapon and scored a direct hit HQ was litterally falling apart, and Gumbo started using his core to burn it down. I became concerned, realizing that dozens of wounded soldiers were still in the base's temporary medbay, and went to evacuate them. The following is therefore no longer a first hand account, but merely a reconstruction based on testimony of the people involved. Ice apparently stabbed Gumbo and started damaging his wiring, Gumbo's core started going thermal, but was shot by Raven and stopped, before being thrown out the window by Ice. I do not believe that Corporal Gumbo was responsible for anything that happened. His body was clearly being controlled by an entity that was exterior to him, and he has expressed regret over the actions that his body took after the battle. The Corporal is one of the best men I know, and I hope that this event does not lead to any grave punishment.
