Civilian escort on Evis

Battle

General Samp had notified the 2nd of a large convoy of civilians evading infected on Evis’ surface. The 2nd soon mobilised with Renegade of the RE yet again joining us. Elements of the 2nd including Lt-general TU, Corporals Blitz and Nito, Lance-corporal Witt and Rifleman Antom landed, sighted the convoy and fought off hundreds of infected with TU granting temporary titan access to many. Witt and TU both lost their titans to infected hostiles and Blitz’ chassis was ripped in half. Antom and Renegade moved in to cover them while Nito provided critical medical attention. I commanded our men to keep the civilians safe using precise strafing runs and orbital strikes. I informed our men of a possible landing zone ahead across a large steel brigde. I deployed there with the majority of the 2nd’s forces at Evis and we gunned down the approaching infected as dropships landed and civilians were ushered to them. Nito set up a temporary medical post at one to secure the wounded including Blitz while TU retreated to get another chassis or titan as his chassis had been heavily damaged on the way there. Antom, Witt and Renegade joined me on the brigde and helped hold the line as most civilians evacuated without issue and our soldiers began their retreat, I in my legion. I made sure all of our men were evacuated as Witt embarked the dropship with the wounded and Nito. Nito successfully stabilised all patients and began to tend to Blitz further, managing to stabilise her too as I was the last to leave on my own dropship and TU boarded the others. Overall successful with a few more casualties and titan losses than I’d like. Nito received his pilot certification shortly after and once again many owe their lives to him. Antom showed remarkable valour considering this was one of his first deployments. Once again our reinforcements have measured up to our standard and been exemplary. Renegade is still effectively working beside our men with his automated forces as he has in multiple operations now. Thankfully TU wasnt infected again, dealing with those containment breaches was becoming distressingly regular.
