4th BTL HR Operation

Operation

During the 4th BTL’s off time, they realized that Night Watch member, Cpl. Fail-Safe, was missing from his barracks. It appeared he had gone on an unsanctioned recon mission of unknown origin. NW XO Lt. Shinzo “Phantom” Edwards and 4th BTL’s SFC Jesse had pursued his whereabouts. They were offered aid from the 1st BTL if needed during their investigation. After this, the team, Lt. Edwards, and SFC Jesse had found damning evidence of the survival of General Adams, who appeared to have survived his supposed death, from the General’s soldiers who were on the planet. General Adams had kidnapped Cpl. Fail-Safe, and Lt. Edwards knowing the risks activated her disassembly protocol giving it full control over her body and leaving SFC Jesse and the team alone on the planet’s surface to pursue General Adams on the heavy cruiser designated “Diamondback”. SFC Jesse would rally the remaining team and take a ship to pursue the Diamondback, in which he would do extraordinarily well. With this, he would take his team aboard the Diamondback in a bold hull breaching maneuver to terminate Adam’s and rescue the members of Night Watch. He would proceed into the Diamondback, where the out-of-control Lt. Edwards would manage to teleport her and a critically wounded Cpl. Fail-Safe back to Laythe’s medical bay. SFC Jesse would manage to take his strike team to capture General Adams who had rigged the Diamondback to explode on his death, and would take a ship out and back to Laythe. While not a medic he would work masterfully to save Cpl. Fail-Safe with the aid of inmate Cronos via radio, both using former Commander JyFK’s method of surviving death, body to titan to simulacrum transfer. After flatlining multiple times and an arduous procedure they would manage to save Cpl. Fail-Safe. During the procedure, on-site security would neutralize the simulacrum body of Lt. Edwards. Addendum: no casualties, a job well done all around.
