Sergeant Jessie. The death of Phoenix. I walked in to the 4th barracks and saw Phoenix's body on the ground. After reviving him I asked him what had happened. He revealed to me that he had a virus that was connected to his consciousness. Everyday he had to fight to make sure it didn't take control. I had a brief talk with Shinzo about what we should do in response. When we heard noises coming from his room. When we entered we saw a dead pilot with 58 stab wounds and a broken vent. Phoenix then dropped down onto Ronin and stabbed him several times before we managed to get him off. I sent both Shinzo and Ronin to get medical attention while I dealt with Phoenix alone. I my best to hold him at Bay until Shinzo reappeared and sent an EMP pulse into him, disabling the SIM. We opened up the Sim and saw the data core was destroyed. We quickly ran to med-bay and grabbed his backup but that had been corrupted too. Before we knew this however we put it into a Sim body. Once we did this the virus took back control and started launching grenades, destroying Phoenix in the process. We lost a great soldier. And I lost so much more. Sergeants Jesse signing off.
